Inlet Remembers Neal Page
Inlet's CEO and co-founder Neal Page passed away on July 6, 2009, after a courageous, year-long battle with leukemia.
Neal was a true pioneer of new media and a recognized leader in the streaming media industry. After founding Inlet in 2003, he helped build the company into a leading provider of new media encoding solutions that quickly became the standard for live streaming over the Internet.
In addition to his passion for Inlet, Neal was tremendously proud of his four children. He was a devoted sailor, and raced his beloved 35-foot "Osprey" in numerous regattas, including the annual Leukemia Cup. Neal and his sons were very active in the Boy Scouts of America and greatly enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail.
When Neal first began his fight with leukemia, he adopted the "Appalachian Trail" theme for conquering "The Mountain," as he called it. "Hike On" became his motto in his final battle, and he inspired everyone he touched. He generously displayed the humor, strength, stubbornness and humility for which he was known.
We know that Neal will hike on, dear friend, hike on.
